I am available to speak for any organization, large or small, both individually and on panels (also, I excel at moderating panels). I offer everything from my own personal history as inspiration, or educational talks about social media, blogging, and the mom blogging world. I have spoken for all kinds of groups, including those with little if any social media experience, to social media experts.
I come from a long line of storytellers. My grandfather would regale us with funny stories at the dinner table, my mom can tell a great joke, and my uncles knew how to pace out a story to make the punch line have more impact. By some miracle I appear to have inherited this ability, and with it a complete and utter lack of stage fright allowing me to bare it all while sharing an amusing or compelling anecdote.
I started my "onstage" career reading poetry at public readings. I know, I know, POETRY. But I was lucky enough to read my work on small stages throughout the country and on large stages such as Lollapoolooza.
As my writing turned to blogging, it made sense that I would begin speaking about blogging, and as I began to professionalize my blogging experience, about social media. I've spoken at several mom blogging conferences, social media clubs, and other venues. Here's a clip of me speaking, and below are links to various places I've spoken.
Below are some of the places I've spoken already, as well as some upcoming engagements.
