I've been working in marketing, PR, and event coordination for over fifteen years. As the internet has changed the picture in the marketing industry, I found myself immersed in the world of social media, and made the obvious connection between social media and marketing early on. Today, I match companies to bloggers, particularly in the mom blogging community. I also work with companies to organize social media campaigns large and small.
What I offer to my social media clients is two things: access and matchmaking. Through my personal blog Uppercase Woman, I've become a staple of the mommy blogging scene. I've spoken at mom blogging conferences, I am friends with the vast majority of the mom bloggers on Twitter and Facebook, and I am trusted. When I offer to introduce a blogger to a company, the blogger knows that I've made sure they will be respected. When I connect companies to bloggers, they know that I've already determined that the connection is desired.
While I personally believe the most beneficial relationship between bloggers and companies lies in content-driven projects that are both experiential and in-depth, I've also facilitated reviews and giveaways, Twitter contests, helped organize sponsorships of blog conferences. Additionally, I am able to sit down with your marketing and public relations staff and help guide their social media policy beyond the ever-popular (and universally despised) "Dear Mom Blogger" outreach campaigns.
Below you'll find some of my social media clients.
